Nocturn Industries Samurai-R Binocular NVG

The Nocturn Industries Samurai-R is a full-metal binocular night vision device with dedicated off-board power and controls. The primary complaint of most NVG users is frontal helmet weight. Moving power and controls to the rear of the helmet alleviates said weight, boosts user comfort, and creates a practical use-case for rear-mounted battery packs.

In addition to articulating pods that cut power when each optical pod is swung out of view, the Samurai-R features manual gain operated by knobs on the rear battery pack, manual gain, Inter-Pupillary Distance (IPD) stops, and an on-board IR illuminator. With this full feature-set, this is one of the most feature-packed goggles and weighs in at only 520g with milspec optics. With lightweight optics, the weight drops to just 428g. Featuring your choice of NNVT NVT4-AG (autogated) 1600+ FOM, Photonis Echo 1600-2000 FOM, or Photonis Echo+ 2000+ FOM white phosphor image intensifier tubes, each Katana is cleaned, assembled, purged, and tested in-house with precision tools using our digital purging rig, downdraft table, and clean room.

This build utilizes US Milspec Noctis Technologies (formerly Carson Industries) or Edmund optics for the highest levels of performance with no optical trade-offs such as reduced eyebox viewing window, excessive lens flaring, oddly-shaped flare artifacts, or distracting rings of light as seen on lightweight lens systems. 

To reduce system weight with no optical penalties, add the Nocturn Industries Lightweight Diopters to this build - simply add them to cart along with this device and we will assemble them together.

Each device will also be tested and collimated using Hoffman night vision test set and a full test report will accompany each unit.
